Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients.

The role includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and CNAs while delivering patient-centered care per nursing process and hospital policies. The position requires a Louisiana RN license, BLS, ability to work 12-hour shifts, and willingness to meet holiday/weekend requirements; the schedule is 7pm–7am, full-time, with a 36-hour weekly

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification through ILCOR provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
• ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
• ALS encouraged.
• Basic EKG encouraged within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, and meet holiday and weekend requirements.
