Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must hold a current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid Compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive working relationships with Parkland internal and external customers and serves as a resource for patients and healthcare team members.
• Provides patient care education and training to patients and families; participates in community outreach as assigned.
• Completes documentation accurately and timely in patient care records and hospital documents; ensures records meet department and Parkland standards.
• Works with staff to direct non-nursing personnel; participates in information exchanges to support department goals; serves as Charge Nurse on rotation when needed.
• Serves as a preceptor or trainer to newer nursing staff.
