Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking an experienced RN for nights, full-time, at Jail West Tower in Dallas. The RN will coordinate patient care, assess needs, develop plans, and supervise care delivery with the health care team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, two years of nursing experience, and an active RN license or valid Texas compact equivalent. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Two years of nursing experience is required.
• Current RN license or valid temporary permit with Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive relationships with Parkland internal and external customers and serves as a resource for patients and staff.
• Completes documentation with accurate and timely entries in patient care records.
• Works with staff to provide direction to non-nursing personnel and participates in rotation as Charge Nurse when needed.
• Provides patient-centered care and conducts in-service educational programs as applicable.
