Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with over 2 years of experience for full-time night shifts at the Main Hospital Building, Dallas. The RN will coordinate patient care within the nursing practice model, assessing needs, developing an individualized plan, and evaluating outcomes.

Candidates should hold a TX RN license, BLS, ACLS/ALS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC; a strong emphasis is on patient-centered care and collaboration with the healthcare team. 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Emergency Department experience preferred in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a patient advocate and maintains positive relationships with patients and staff.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines influencing nursing practice.
• Performs appropriate patient assessments and intervenes as necessary.
• Provides safe medication administration and IV access management.
• Serves as Charge Nurse on rotation and preceptor to newer staff.
• Supports in-service educational programs for department.
