Qualifications

• New hires effective June 14, 2017, must obtain a BSN within three years of hire or transfer
• Employees hired/transferred between Aug 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must follow offer letter requirements
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care using the nursing process and established standards of practice
• Performs all responsibilities associated with the staff nurse role
• Functions as Charge Nurse when assigned
• Maintains overall accountability for assigned patients
• Delegates appropriate tasks to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and Sitters while retaining responsibility for patient care
• Provides care appropriate to each patient’s age and developmental needs
