Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN within three years of hire or transfer is required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care using the nursing process and established standards of practice.
• Performs all responsibilities of the staff nurse role.
• Functions as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Maintains accountability for assigned patients.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and Sitters.
• Provides care appropriate to each patient’s age and developmental needs.
