Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license for the state of employment.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• One year of medical/surgical hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for each patient.
• Direct care and delegation of all nursing care in line with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education as needed.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary review process for patients and the education plan.
