Job summary

UC Health (Cincinnati) seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Burn/ENT Special Care Unit (BESCU) on the 5 South night shift. The unit handles acute burns, complex wounds and ENT reconstructions, including airway management and free flap procedures. Must hold a current Ohio RN license and have a nursing degree from an accredited school.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate's Degree is the minimum required; BSN preferred.
• Current OH RN License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care with the care team.
• Communicates care plan to staff and family as appropriate.
• Educates patient and family on treatment and ongoing care.
• Identifies and responds to diverse patient needs including behavioral health or cultural needs.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, and teamwork.
• Documents nursing process per policy.
• Mentors new staff and float staff as needed.
• Pursues ongoing personal and professional development.
