Job summary

Shriners Children's Ohio is seeking a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit. You will provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing, including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

The role requires a BSN or in progress, Ohio RN license, and BLS certification, with preferred candidates having 2+ years bedside RN experience and pediatric/ICU exposure; PALS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process.
• Ohio RN License.
• BLS certification.
• 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads).
• Pediatric and ICU experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Responsibilities

• The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
• The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
