Job summary

Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking an RN for the Birthing Center on the night shift. This full-time position offers a $25,000 sign-on/retention bonus and competitive pay to attract experienced nurses.

You will assess and reassess patients, develop and revise nursing plans of care, deliver safe rehabilitation nursing interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team while maintaining confidentiality and providing courteous, professional service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses/reassesses patient’s condition based upon observation of patient and interview of patient and/or family, physician’s diagnosis and data, diagnostic results, and relevant data from other healthcare providers. Assessment and reassessment of functional and cognitive deficits as it relates to transition to the community.
• Develop/revise nursing plans of care for assigned patients
• Delivers safe rehabilitation nursing interventions
• Demonstrate critical thinking to provide safe, high-quality care
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members and departments
• Maintain courteous, respectful, and professional customer service
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and departmental information
