Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Completion of twenty-four (24) contact hours of approved Continuing Education (CE) every two years as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Continuous certification in American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of employment and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for assigned patients, ensuring seamless care delivery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate data collection and ensure documentation reflects the care provided.
• Provide timely health information and written materials to patients and families, documenting interactions.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance nursing care.
