Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, is opening a Behavioral Health Unit in Northwest Reno to deliver adult behavioral health services. The unit is managed by physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers and therapists, offering individualized care plans in a 24-hour secure environment.

The Registered Nurse role is full-time with benefits and a flexible night shift. The successful candidate will provide safe, compassionate care in a medical/telemetry setting,

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involve the patient and family in psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, and diversity needs during care assessment.
• Develop and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and coordinating direct/indirect care.
• Collaborate with the patient’s care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
