Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, is opening a Behavioral Health Unit in a new building at 6225 Sharlands Ave., Northwest Reno. We seek a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care in a medical/telemetry setting with a patient-centered approach.

The full-time RN role offers comprehensive benefits and a daytime shift, focusing on individualized care plans, family involvement, and 24-hour safety.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• One year full time or three years part time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
