Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for part-time night shifts to support inpatient and behavioral health services in Northern Nevada. The RN will treat patients, educate families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include charting, performing basic diagnostics, administering medications, and supporting patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Nevada.
• BLS certification upon hire and keep current.
• Working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• SEE AMENDMENT FOR NEW GRADUATES
• ACLS within 90 days of hire (if required departments)
• PALS within 90 days of hire (if required departments)

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and educate them about medical conditions, providing emotional support to patients and families.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms; help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications; assist with follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Teach patients and families how to manage illness, diet and exercise plans, and self-administration of medications.
