Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a dedicated RN for the high-volume Admit-Transfer Center. You will coordinate admissions and transfers across our 16-hospital system in South Carolina, working with Patient Placement to direct transfers and bed requests.

The role leverages EPIC and nursing expertise to optimize throughput. The RN will be a key contact for transferring patients to MUSC hospitals or external facilities, supporting bed coordination for cardiovascular and surgical

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred with BSN initiation within 2 years and completion within 4 years of hire.
• 5 years RN experience; leadership roles like Charge Nurse/ Supervisor preferred.
• Current SC RN license or compact state; BLS required; ACLS certification for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient transfers from MUSC facilities and non-MUSC facilities.
• Collaborate with Patient Placement and bed management to direct admissions and bed requests.
• Serve as a clinical resource and facilitator using nursing knowledge and hospital systems.
