Medical University of South Carolina Admit-Transfer Center seeks a Patient Placement Representative to support a high-volume admissions network across 16 hospitals in South Carolina. You will handle patient access, registration, insurance verification and billing preparation for optimal reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years in a medical office, call center, healthcare entity and/or customer service environment preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred; registering patients, insurance knowledge and customer service noted.
• Strong professionalism, ability to work under pressure, and multitask in a busy setting.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks; proficient with Windows/Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform patient access and registration for the MUSC system.
• Provide high-level customer service to MUSC clients and team members.
• Verify and prepare patient accounts for billing to maximize payment for MUSC Health.
• Facilitate timely completion of Admit Transfer Center registration and Telehealth appointments.
• Process patient pre-admission and admission demographics and verify insurance data.
