Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a registered nurse for a 36-hour week night shift (7p-7a) on a regular schedule with every other weekend. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, lead team members, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient-family centered care within MUSC policies.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree, SC RN license (or compact state), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Associate’s Degree and at least 1 year of RN experience.
• RN licensure by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other team members, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for age-appropriate care.
• Provide patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment with privacy and professional conduct.
• Participates in a professional practice model and promotes leadership and clinical excellence.
• Coordinates delivery of patient care through care management principles and prioritizes outcomes.
