Job summary

Health First is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in a collaborative setting. You will follow the nursing process, document care plans, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, ASN or Nursing Diploma, and BLS. Preferred BSN and additional certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• RN licensure in Florida or endorsement.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS or equivalent preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and in-direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Administers medications and documents care activities.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Educates patients and families to promote engagement and safe transitions.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection prevention practices.
• Records care plans using Health First technology systems.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Supports onboarding of new Associates and students.
• Promotes bedside communication and teamwork.
