Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) to assess, plan, and deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, develop care plans, administer medications, and ensure infection control and safety.

Formación

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least one year of previous hospital acute care experience.
• Only licensed nurse experience in an acute care facility will be counted towards RN1 experience.
• Acute care is defined as medical services for short-term, intense illnesses requiring vigilant monitoring.

Responsabilidades

• Assess the patient’s condition and coordinate nursing care activities with other health disciplines.
• Develop a written individualized care plan including teaching needs and discharge planning.
• Administer direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment are needed.
• Administer medications.
• Practice infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition to Charge RN/Clinician.
• Develop and maintain the written plan of care for assigned patients.
• Provide documented patient/family teaching and ensure alignment with physician instructions.
• Communicate and work effectively with other staff and departments.
• Participate in unit or hospital quality assurance activities.
