Penn Medicine's observation unit at Lancaster General Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague (RN) for full-time night shift. You will provide direct patient care on a fast-paced 52-bed unit, perform assessments, and coordinate care with the interprofessional team.

The role emphasizes nursing process proficiency, patient education, and leadership within the care team, with a commitment to privacy, quality, and safety as core values.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required, issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree is required.
• Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or >15 months of practice.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA BLS).
• In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and other federal/state programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as a full partner on the health care team.
• Perform patient assessments and adapt plans based on trends.
• Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Lead and supervise other team members and ensure care continuity.
