Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse 2 to join the Lancaster General Hospital team in Lancaster, PA. This RN will practice as a full partner on the health care team, delivering competent nursing care and coordinating across disciplines.

The role requires an BSN or higher, PA RN licensure, and completion of Nurse Residency or 15+ months of practice, plus CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire. Evening shifts, 36 hours/week, and rotating weekends are included.

Qualifications

• RN licensure issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
• CPR Certification - AHA BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a full partner on the health care team.
• Performs patient assessments, focuses on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions.
• Educates patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Leads/coordinates care across multiple disciplines and caregivers.
• Demonstrates commitment to privacy, quality, respect, service and teamwork.
• Assigns, delegates and supervises other staff to ensure plan of care is carried out.
