Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Lancaster General Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague. The role partners with the health care team to apply the nursing process and ANA standards, delivering safe, evidence-based patient care on a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, coordinating across disciplines, educating patients, and supporting quality and safety initiatives in a 52-bed Observation Unit serving medical and surgical patients. Penn Medicine is an Equal Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by PA Board of Nursing.
• BSN or higher degree required.
• Completion of Nurse Residency or 15+ months nursing practice.
• CPR Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and other programs, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability as defined by ANA standards of nursing practice.
• Provide patient care through the nursing process and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to coordinate care across disciplines.
• Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment options.
• Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives.
