Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a registered nurse for night shift, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week). The successful candidate will provide and coordinate comprehensive nursing care, from assessment to care planning, in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.

Current NC RN licensure or compact-state licensure is required, along with American Heart Association Basic Life Support. A $30,000 commitment bonus is offered to selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care, including assessment data collection, outcome identification, and care planning in collaboration with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Identify interventions to meet outcomes, implement and evaluate progress, and document the care process with sensitivity to age-specific needs.
• Promote effective team functioning, collaborate with care team to meet patient needs, and delegate tasks per NC Nurse Practice Act.
