Covenant Living Communities and Services on Mercer Island, WA, seeks a Registered Nurse to lead a nursing unit in our 43-bed skilled nursing facility. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure high standards of care, and coordinate with physicians and families.

The role requires an approved nursing program graduate, WA RN license, and at least one year of nursing experience; strong communication, compassion, and the ability to manage staff and respond to changing resident needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
• One year nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to assess problems, plan and evaluate solutions with supervision of staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and CNAs on the unit, ensuring high quality nursing care.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing staff to maintain care standards.
• Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the unit.
• Explain nursing procedures and train staff to ensure ongoing understanding.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, and concerns.
• Observe residents' health and communicate significant changes to physicians and family per procedures.
