Job summary
Covenant Living on Mercer Island seeks a Registered Nurse to lead and deliver high-quality care in a 43-bed skilled nursing facility. The RN will supervise LPNs and CNAs, participate in care planning, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate is a WA-licensed RN with at least one year of experience, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach to senior care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current RN license in the state.
- One year nursing experience.
- Commitment to standards of professional nursing.
- Strong assessment, planning, and evaluation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Compassion for seniors and the disabled.
- Ability to monitor and direct others daily.
- Availability for extended hours, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and CNAs on the unit.
- Assist in orienting new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
- Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
- Explain nursing procedures and assist staff to ensure understanding and training.
- Regularly communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and staff concerns.
- Observe and evaluate residents’ health and communicate significant changes per procedures.
