Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing treatments on the medication/treatment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals
• Notify physician of medication issues and adverse reactions
• Keep medication cart and room organized and compliant with policies
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel
• Practice and supervise Infection Control and safety procedures
