Job summary

Bethany Children's Health Center is seeking a Charge Respiratory Therapist to lead direct patient care on the assigned shift, supervise respiratory staff, and coordinate shift assignments to deliver consistent, high-quality therapy.

The role serves as a clinical and technical resource, performing prescribed treatments, equipment troubleshooting, record-keeping and multidisciplinary communication to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy or AS in RT preferred.
• Graduate of a respiratory therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (COARC).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports respiratory staff to ensure outstanding patient care.
• Coordinates shift assignments for the respiratory therapy team.
• Performs administrative duties including record keeping, multidisciplinary communication, scheduling and other tasks to ensure daily operations are complete.
• Serves as a technical and clinical resource to staff and other hospital team members (equipment and patient troubleshooting).
• Performs prescribed respiratory treatments and assessments.
• Other duties as assigned.
