Aurora Bay Area Medical Center in Wisconsin is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support adult and pediatric patients with pulmonary diagnostics, ventilator management, and therapy administration. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, educate patients, and ensure safe, effective respiratory care.

The role requires an associate degree in respiratory care, RCP licensure (NBRC), and BLS, with no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• Licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and NBRC credentials within 12 months or NBRC CRT if before Jan 1, 2023.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Uses respiratory therapy processes to assess patients using pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, hemodynamics, labs and blood gas interpretation.
• Operates ventilators in critical and non‑critical care venues and assists physicians with bedside procedures.
• Delivers prescribed respiratory treatments and educates patients on therapy goals and self‑care.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment and coordinates with departments on safety and repair needs.
• Educates patients, provides handoffs, and promotes a culture of safety and quality care.
• Under supervision, adapts to department policies and assists in training new teammates and students.
