Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System seeks a Respiratory Therapist for night-time coverage. The part-time 7p-7a shift offers opportunities to deliver prescribed therapies, monitor patient responses, and participate in emergent calls.

You will collaborate with care teams, educate patients and families, manage supplies, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. An active NC RRT license and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
• License: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Collects arterial blood samples and performs bedside EKGs as ordered.
• Delivers respiratory therapies, monitors patient responses, and documents status.
• Responds to codes and emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, and device use.
• Maintains respiratory equipment, supplies, and calibration.
