Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Respiratory Therapy department in Tucson, AZ. This night shift role offers 36 hours per week with competitive benefits and a $5,000 hire-on incentive for part-time applicants with at least one year of respiratory experience.

The incumbent will deliver respiratory care, diagnostic testing, and care coordination with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree.
• NBRC certification as RRT; must obtain if hired after the deadline.
• Current license in state; Fingerprint Clearance per state law.
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience as RRT in past 12 months.
• BLS required; drivers license if Home Care; eligible for company auto policy.
• Knowledge of clinical techniques and equipment; fingerprint clearance card maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and diagnostic testing as prescribed.
• Manage and adjust mechanical ventilators with clinical teams.
• Assemble, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment per policy.
• Perform pulmonary/cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed.
• Assess patients and document responses; adjust therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams to formulate plans and communicate changes.
• May supervise department staff.
• Provide care across different health care settings as needed.
