Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a per diem, part-time night-shift role on-site. You will assess patients, manage ventilator care, deliver prescribed therapies, and educate patients and families to support high-quality care.

Ideal candidate has an AMA-approved program and an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care, NJ license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and BLS. Benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program of study in Respiratory Care with an Associate’s Degree.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care.
• BLS credential.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment of patients and develops their respiratory plan of care.
• Administrates treatments/medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Demonstrates competency in invasive and non-invasive ventilator care.
• Maintains Blood Gas Laboratory competencies.
• Educates patient and family on disease, treatment, and wellness.
