Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a per diem Respiratory Therapist for a night shift in Mount Holly, NJ. You will assess patients, develop respiratory plans, and administer prescribed treatments while maintaining Ventilator and Blood Gas Lab competencies.

The role requires an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program with an associate degree, NJ licensure, and NBRC eligibility. Per diem, night hours, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-approved program of study in Respiratory Care with an Associate's Degree.
• Registered or Registry Eligible by NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment of patients and develops their respiratory plan of care.
• Administers treatments/medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Demonstrates competency in invasive and non‑invasive ventilator care.
• Demonstrates competency in Blood Gas Laboratory procedures.
• Educates patients and families on disease, treatment and wellness.
• Sets up, operates and maintains medical gas and humidification systems.
• Documents patient care activities in computer information management systems.
