Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a community hospital in Ohio on the night shift (6:30 PM–7:00 AM). The role involves direct patient care with ventilator management, airway procedures, and on-call responsibilities.

The position requires active Ohio license, CRT or RRT, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications, and ~3+ years in cardiopulmonary services. Relocation assistance and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC CRT or RRT; licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• Current Ohio Respiratory Therapist License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• NRP certification.
• 3+ years of experience in cardiopulmonary services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Physical stamina for an active clinical environment (lifting up to ~50 lbs).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy across age groups (peds to geriatric).
• Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway care.
• Perform emergency intubation and airway management.
• Monitor oxygen delivery equipment and side effects.
• Perform arterial punctures for ABG analysis.
• Record EKGs and transmit to physicians.
• Inspect and safely operate respiratory therapy equipment.
• Assess patient response and adjust care plans.
• Document data in the PCN after services.
• Provide patient/family teaching and evaluate outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and 3rd weekend rotations.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and QI activities.
