Job summary

Good Samaritan in Indiana is seeking a Reg Respiratory Therapist I for the night shift to deliver specialized respiratory care across all ages, with emphasis on critical care assessment and adherence to care plans.

Ideal candidates hold RRT and Indiana licensure with at least one year of critical care experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with full-time employment and opportunities to contribute within a Magnet® facility.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with emphasis on critical care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care and Indiana license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs arterial and capillary sticks on infants and pediatric patients as applicable.
• Interprets pulse oximetry, capnography and transcutaneous monitoring measurements.
• Consults with physicians and staff on respiratory care plans and makes recommendations.
• Performs airway management techniques, including tracheostomy tube changes and elective intubation as requested.
• Provides oxygen therapy, ventilator care and other therapies as needed.
• Monitors patient respiratory status and responses to treatment.
