Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, night shift, onsite with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

The candidate will graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Care, hold RRT with OH license, and maintain BLS; NRP/PALS/ACLS/STABLE within 1 year. New grads are welcome; no supervisory experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC) required.
• OH Respiratory Care license required.
• BLS required; NRP, PALS, ACLS, STABLE within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Assess airway status of neonates/pediatrics/adults in ICU, intra-hospital transport, and general care.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Participate in education of ACH staff, patients, and parents.
• Staff may be temporarily assigned to different areas as needed.
