Job summary

North Caddo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift 7 PM–7 AM. The candidate must be licensed in the state and experienced in acute, emergency, rehabilitative, and labor & delivery care as described in the job description.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, emergency airway management, education for patients and families, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved 2- or 4-year Respiratory Therapy program.
• Fulfillment of RT requirements established by state/licensing authority.
• Current BLS; ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using diagnostic tests and monitoring to evaluate cardiopulmonary status.
• Provide emergency care including airway management, intubation and CPR.
• Educate patient and family about diagnosis and treatment and train staff on respiratory techniques.
• Schedule treatments, maintain records, and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
