Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision. You will perform patient assessments, initiate respiratory care plans, and deliver a range of diagnostic therapies across ICU, floor, and emergency areas.

Requirements include licensed RT or RCP in state, BLS, and NBRC RRT certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP are also required.

Qualifications

• RT or RCP license in the state of employment is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• NBRC RRT certification is required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS competencies.
• Emergency response and airway management including suctioning.
• Ventilator management, delivery of aerosolized drugs, and oxygen delivery.
• Blood gas collection and analysis; EKG analysis; documentation.
• Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
