Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I for night shift (3x12s) in the Cardiopulmonary/Respiratory Therapy department. This full-time, non-exempt role offers opportunities in a high-acuity, critical care environment with room for advancement within a large healthcare system.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, under

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from NBRC required. Hired before March 2026, are exempt
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• Associate or BS degree preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate required at hire or within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care.
• Lead RCP in absence of supervisor, as assigned during shift.
