Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide cardiopulmonary care under physician orders. You will assess and treat patients with breathing disorders, initiate therapies, monitor responses, and document patient progress in the EMR.

Responsibilities include safety-focused care, equipment calibration, and collaboration with the care team. Licensure and certifications must be current, with ACLS/NRP/PALS achieved within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Current IL Respiratory Therapist License required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS to be obtained within 6 months.
• NRP to be obtained within 6 months.
• PALS to be obtained within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Perform accurate respiratory assessments and initial screenings; assess and reassess pain; ensure age-appropriate care.
• Determine treatment requirements per physician orders; select method and duration of therapy.
• Educate patient/family on pain management and discharge planning/follow-up.
• Monitor physiological responses to therapy; report adverse reactions to physician.
• Prepare and administer respiratory medications; monitor outcomes and side effects.
• Conduct tests (lung function, cardiac monitoring) and calibrate equipment for optimal results.
• Maintain equipment and documentation; ensure proper patient records in EMR and paper formats.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
