Saint Mary’s Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. The role involves administering respiratory care in a hospital setting, with a strong emphasis on clinical judgment and teamwork.

The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus, full-time hours (three 12-hour nights per week), and excellent benefits beginning on day one. Saint Mary’s is a Catholic not-for-profit acute care teaching hospital with a long-standing community impact.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree.
• Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by NBRC
• Thorough knowledge of respiratory care procedures and patient care techniques

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care as part of the Respiratory Care Department.
• Function with independent clinical judgment in patient care delivery.
• Serve as a technical resource to physicians and other health care workers on respiratory practices.
• Set up and manage equipment: ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, high-flow oxygen; manage invasive ventilation modes.
