Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for a full-time night shift. The incumbent will perform basic respiratory therapy, diagnostics, and monitoring across patient ages and participate in continuous education and CQI projects.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, ventilator management, and adherence to respiratory standards of practice. A sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AMA accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current registration or eligibility for licensure with the State of Illinois for practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• RRT credential awarded by NBRC.
• Current CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment on assigned patients as ordered by a physician; establishes priorities and plan of care based on assessment.
• Provides care according to respiratory standards of practice.
• Documents tolerance to treatments and patient variances; revises plan of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Completes all annual educational requirements; demonstrates competency in respiratory areas, including assessment and ventilator management.
• Documents care; completes CQI projects and participates in continuing education and staff development.
