Job summary

New Narrative is a nonprofit organization providing community-based mental health care and supportive housing. The Residential Support Specialist works with a multidisciplinary team to assist residents in daily living, skills development, and independent living, while keeping a safe and organized home environment.

This full-time overnight role requires CPR certification, independence, and adherence to Oregon Home and Community Based services guidelines.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to respond to crises using de-escalation techniques.
• Commitment to following Oregon rules for Home and Community Based services.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with residents to support movement toward goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living and instrumental tasks.
• Provide hands-on support and crisis intervention when needed.
• Adhere to medication management protocols and monitor for changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment and document shift activities.
• Complete documentation (shift notes, engagement notes, incident reports).
