Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift duties. You will perform ABG, PFT, and various forms of ventilator support, with emphasis on neonatal and adult respiratory care under supervision.

Licensure in Texas and NBRC registration are required, with BLS/ACLS current and NRP/PALS obtainable within a year. The role demands clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program with proof of licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP/PALS within 1 year.
• Texas licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner; NBRC registration.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosols and ventilation support.
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs and ECGs.
• Prepare treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and chart review.
• Utilize critical thinking for appropriate respiratory interventions.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data for patient care decisions.
• Assemble and troubleshoot CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, gas delivery devices.
• Support infection control, safety, and quality assurance measures.
• Maintain and clean cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Provide excellent patient interaction to improve satisfaction.
