Methodist Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide adult and neonatal care, including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support. You’ll work night shifts with 12-hour rotations and be part of a busy, accredited hospital within the Methodist Health System in the Dallas area.

The role requires respiratory care program graduation, BLS/ACLS, NBRC registration, TX license, and at least 6 months of experience. Neonatal and pediatric care proficiency is expected.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol therapy, bronchodilator delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
• Perform and report arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and ECGs.
• Prepare treatment evaluations with bedside assessments and chart reviews.
• Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate actions based on patient data.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT results when reviewing patient data.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment (ventilators, airways, analyzers).
• Assist with infection control, safety, and quality assurance tasks.
• Maintain and clean cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Engage with patients using effective scripted communication to improve satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as required.
