Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adults and neonates during night shifts. You will perform ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator management and oxygen therapy following departmental policies.

The role requires an accredited Respiratory Care program graduate, BLS/ACLS certifications, Texas licensure, NBRC registration and at least 6 months of experience. A strong emphasis on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, chest physiotherapy and ventilation.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs and ECGs.
• Completes bedside respiratory assessments and reviews medical records for treatment planning.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data to guide patient care.
• Maintains and troubleshoots CP equipment and devices.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance activities.
