Job summary

Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas area is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist. You will perform ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and care for adults and neonates under indirect supervision.

The role requires graduation from an accredited program, BLS/ACLS, NBRC RCP registration, Texas license, and at least 6 months of experience. Night 12x3 shift with rotating days is described in the posting.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NRP and PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Active license as Respiratory Care Practitioner with Texas Medical Board.
NBRC registration as RCP.
Minimum 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory therapeutics including oxygen admin, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, and mechanical ventilation.
Perform arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and ECGs.
Prepare treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and medical record review.
Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment and supplies.
Support infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
