Job summary

Wood County Hospital is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. You will deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and monitor patient responses to therapies during hospitalization.

The role requires an Associate degree in respiratory therapy, RRT credential, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days of hire, with opportunities to educate patients and families and participate

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy from a CoARC approved program.
• RRT credential through NBRC.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans with the care team.
• Deliver respiratory therapies and monitor patient responses.
• Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., ABG) and provide emergency interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and care practices.
• Ensure safety and coordination of care during hospitalization and post-discharge.
