Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts (7pm-7am) on a flexible 3-day-per-week schedule. The RRT will perform a range of respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures for adults and neonates under department policy and supervision.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, hold a Texas license, NBRC registration, and current BLS/ACLS certification, with 6 months of experience.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support— must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, and airway maintenance.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and ECGs.
• Prepares treatment evaluations including bedside assessment and chart review.
• Apply critical thinking to patient care actions.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, operates, and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance activities.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Uses patient scripting to improve satisfaction and communication.
• Performs other job duties as required.
