Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts (7P–7A) to support neonatal and adult patients with ventilator care, oxygen therapy, and diagnostic procedures. You will perform ABG, PFTs, and cardiopulmonary assessments under supervision of the medical director.

The role requires an accredited respiratory care program, BLS and ACLS, NBRC registration, and Texas licensure, with NRP/PALS obtainable within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support certification required.
• NRP / PALS must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, and airway maintenance.
• Interprets arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and ECGs.
• Completes bedside assessments, reviews medical records, and documents care.
• Uses critical thinking to determine appropriate interventions.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles and troubleshoots respiratory equipment and related devices.
• Contributes to infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
