Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for adults and neonates during night shifts. You will work under indirect supervision and contribute to patient assessments, treatment plans, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited program, BLS/ACLS, NBRC registration, Texas license, and 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• NRP, PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, humidification, and airway maintenance.
• Conducts arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs and ECG as prescribed.
• Interprets CXRs, ABG, and PFT results to guide care.
• Operates and troubleshoots CP equipment like ventilators and gas analyzers.
• Ensures infection control, safety and quality assurance.
